Tool and Die Technician

We are looking for a skilled tool and die technician to craft dies and metal tooling for our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting design schematics, cutting and shaping dies, and assembling the completed parts. You will also oversee performance testing of the completed die or tool, as well as the diagnosing of any potential issues. No licensing, registration or certification is required for this position.

• Installing and removing dies and tooling from machinery
• Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances
• Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts
• Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders and milling machines
• Assembling, testing and inspecting dies and tooling for quality
• Performing regular equipment inspections and maintenance
• Additional duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a tool and die maker
• Experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders and lathes
• A basic understanding of English
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to see, hear and communicate
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design schematics and CAD drawings
• Ability to problem solve and follow instruction
